and occasionally arms— but they look different because of their
special functions. Think about how people use chairs in different
ways in different places (such as school, movie theater, office, or
home). At home, you sit up straight in a dining room chair, but
you might put your feet up in a recliner. Other things that affect
the look of a chair are its materials, shape, line, ornament, color,
pattern, etc.
