Chair from the Past Little wheels called castors make this chair fairly easy to move.  These castors are made of metal, while others were made of wood, leather, and even china!  Two hundred years ago, furniture was displayed against the walls to impress arriving guests.  Once the visitors had admired the room, the proud homeowner moved some of the furniture into groupings, either in the center of the room or in front of the fireplace.
