Mummy Case for a Sacred Ibis

This bird is called a Sacred Ibis.  Ibises were special in ancient Egypt because they reminded people of Thoth, the god of wisdom.  Millions of ibises were mummified and given to Thoth as gifts.  At one ancient ibis cemetery, archaeologists discovered more than 5 million ibis mummy cases.  That's a lot of bones!
