Brave Maya Ballplayer Maya noble people loved to decorate their faces with tattoos and even cut their skin to make scars.  Notice the scars carefully drawn from ear to ear on this ballplayer.  Heads that were shaped to a point, like an ear of corn, were also considered beautiful.  The Maya even re-shaped their babies' heads by placing boards on the skulls while the bones were still soft.
